Override is an accessible, one-stop-shop where patients are connected virtually with pain physicians, physical therapists, behavioral health providers, and coaches who individually work with the chronic pain patient and work together as a team. Override is a non-opioid, biopsychosocial solution that uses the latest in pain neuroscience to help patients make the functional, behavioral, and movement-related changes needed to rewire pain neural pathways and improve quality of life. The program strives to transform people currently dependent on opioids, chiropractors, repeat trigger point injections, etc. into self-managers of their own pain experience and broader health.

Launched in 2021, Override was created by a seasoned healthcare executive team, Dr. David Shulkin and Jennie Shulkin, with significant relationships across the industry and an intimate understanding of the patient experience. They are applying their experience and subject matter expertise to build a comprehensive chronic pain management model that builds on the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs’ validated “Whole Health” model of care.
